First and foremost, thank you for your comments. I need to remind you that this prison takes weeks to give me my mail, so please be patient. I'm real glad that you and others understand how these guards treat us in here. The harassing, the taunts and disrespect towards us is unreal. It ain't like they come to work, put in their 8 hrs and go home. They treat us bad on purpose. They will go out of their way to make our time harder to do. I have 19 yrs in so I've seen how they act first hand. Staff think that it's their job or duty to punish us while we're here. Our punishment was done by the DA/Judge. They took us off the streets, away from our loved ones, that's our punishment. Staff is only to make sure that we don't do violence and that we do our time. Not use the power of the state, the badge to make us miserable. Did you know that real cops are the only ones who get a post certificate? Prison guards don't because they are not actual law enforcement. They are more like babysitters. Like a mall cop is how I see them. I'm a firm believer that these guards are a gang.

If you look into what makes a gang a gang, you will see that I'm right about that statement. I'm smart enough to realize that this job they have isn't just a job with pay, it's a way to get their get backs on us. Are staff the kids who used to get bullied in school? Their bikes taken? I would think so. They take this job way too serious most of the time. I will keep you posted on all the crap they do to us in here. I'm so glad that citizens - some citizens - understand how these wannabe cops treat us in here. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for laws, because without them we're all just a bunch of monkeys throwing shit at each other, but the time should fit the crime. And the CDCR guards should treat us like humans, we're not animals, at least not all of us. Last night in CA, the 3 strikes law was changed, so many inmates will be getting their freedom. I have had several cellmates who had life due to the strike law. None of them even had a violent conviction. I don't know yet whether this will help me out or not but I'll keep you posted. I have 68 yrs to life, so let's hope that this law passing somehow helps me, I sure do need it. I will write more soon.

Respectfully
Donnie

"Hope to hear from you soon".
