Dear Mr. Terry:
I received your letter in which you asked for reconsideration of our decision to decline your case. You note that your defensive strategy was to state the victim's tale is a hoax. [sentence redacted] Again, I must tell you that we simply are unable to assist you.
We evaluate each case very carefully and base our decisions on the strength of any new evidence available. Given our limited resources and the large number of requests we receive, we simply cannot assist everyone who requests our assistance. We must focus on those cases with the best chance of success. I realize this may not seem fair and understand our decision must be very frustrating to those who do not meet our program guidelines. Unfortunately, this is the reality of the demands upon our program.
Please be aware that our denial to assist you (or our decision) in no way reflects any judgment on our part about your guilt or innocence.
Sincerely,
Amireh Oettinger
