MICHAEL'S MIND

In the State of California, a life prisoner has to be able to not only have insight into him/herself and understand why he/she committed their life crime. We must be able to articulate this insight to the Board and convince them of its authenticity and accuracy.

Two very important elements make this a danger to the constitutional rights of these prisoners. 1: The fact that the state offers no REAL platform to gain such insight, in the manner of which the board is forced to accept. A life prisoner must take it upon themselves to get this insight. 2: No matter the truth or depth of this insight, the board member may simply say they do not believe the sincerity of the insight or that the insight the prisoner has come to does not corroborate with the facts as the board knows them. Thereby they can deny parole based on their own beliefs and not have to explain how or why the disagreement makes the prisoner a current danger to society.

Because of this, California lifers are asked to do what most people in society never do, yet SHOULD DO... KNOW THYSELF. This post is not about bashing the board's unfair practice. Nor is it in dispute of the necessity of life prisoners having this insight. This post is about ME. This is about me sharing my own and gaining better insight.

From the beginning of recorded time, the answer to any question about who God is, or how can one known God, has always been... MAN, KNOW THYSELF. For anyone seeking any understanding about where they come from or where they are supposed to go? All they need to remember is... MAN, KNOW THYSELF. It is my understanding that any problems one has in life, any questions about one's own existence, can be answered by said person themselves. They need only understand... yes, you guessed it... MAN, KNOW THYSELF.

I know myself better than anyone. I have in-depth knowledge of my origins and destination, because of my knowledge of self. This does not mean I know all, because I don't. It does mean I am capable of knowing all. Just not all at once. :)

This post is my way of figuring out things by using the feedback of others. The more I give the more I get. The more I give others the understanding of me, the more I gain understanding of self.

The workings of this post is 2 fold. 1: I hope to share myself in ways that will help others. 2: Feedback to questions I have can better guide me to answers I seek. So in this interactive post, feel free to post comments, make suggestions, correct misinformation and give opinions on issues and topics in any manner. Most importantly, I need my questions answered. YOU are my source of information to all the questions in my head. With your help I can better prepare for my return into society and I can KNOW MYSELF better. Here is my first question: Why are people comfortable calling me dog, yet are so uncomfortable calling me god?
