Title: Connecticut D.O.C. Actively Protects Racist Employee Joker

Last August 2 prisoners verbally complained about a kitchen employee whom thought it would be funny to tell us racist jokes. However, since I was the one who dared to put my complaint in writing and send it to the commissioner I was subsequently transferred from Newtown to Cheshire. They did this to keep me from encouraging to do the same and to shut me up. Personally, I believe this to be the criminal act of Conspiracy To Kidnap as well as a violation of a number of my Constitutional rights.

I just recently received notice that my grievance was denied (no surprise there) because the employees disagreed with me and the statements I submitted by other prisoners spoke of no specific incident.

The grievance coordinator spoke directly to the employee who made a number of racist jokes and comments and talked to those conspiring to have me transferred but didn't interview any of the witnesses who are prisoners. Nor did he bother to find out who initiated the transfer. He didn't take into consideration of how did we know I was going to be transferred weeks in advance? In this state release of that information is a breach in security. In addition, supervisors themselves are not privy to this information unless they are the ones initiating it.

I realize that D.O.C. can house me anywhere they choose but the courts have ruled that they cannot transfer a prisoner just to punish him/her for utilizing our Constitutional rights.

This employee's jokes went reprehensibly along the lines of... "How can you tell when a Black has to take a Sh--?" or, he'd refer to a prisoner of mixed heritage as a half breed piece of sh--, and referred to another prisoner as a fat spic. He joked that grape Kool Aid and chicken were the favorite food at a Black barbecue. We've had to endure these comments nearly every day that this guy worked. As you might imagine, this man has a warehouse full of these disgusting cracks that many of us had to listen to. Yet, the grievance coordinator could not speak to anyone who could corroborate my allegations? Yeah, right!

It is my belief that these people stepped out of the scope of their office to have me transferred in order to shut me up and to sweep this under the rug. They abused their authority in having me transferred against my will. I believe that is Conspiracy To Kidnap. What are your thoughts? Hit me up.

Hello free world,

My name is Richard Stevenson and I've been a prisoner of the corporation known as the STATE OF CONNECTICUT since 1992. I am only one of potentially hundreds of thousands of wrongly convicted people in this country. I have learned to utilize my emotions as a type of fuel exposing the abuse and corruption in this state.

I dedicate my efforts first, to my mother, Marion, who is no longer with us; then to my children David, LeShae and Ricky, whom I love with everything I have; and to my cousin Jean from Staten Island, who was caught out in Superstorm Sandy; my dad Big Richie; my siblings Robert, Tracey and Tiny; my grandchildren; and all my nieces and nephews. You are why my head is still held high and why I'll never give up.

My goals are to get out of prison, help other innocents get out, shorten the time of those with unjustifiably long sentences, reduce recidivism (eliminating as many correctional positions as possible in the process) and last but certainly not least, exposing corruption. That's what this blog is all about. Will you join me?

In exposing government/corporate corruption I primarily utilize the Freedom of Information Act, aka FOIA (state and federal) and encourage you to do also. Getting involved in this has helped me to understand just how some have implemented laws restricting what's left of the freedoms of prisoners in order to get their foot in the door to rob the public of some of your rights little by little. So I implore you to be very careful of allowing elected, appointed and hired officials to get laws enacted limiting the rights of ANY others.

Keep in mind that the collection of DNA was initially to be applied only to sex offenders. Because you were rightfully cautious there always has to be a boogeyman in order to get you to go along with something you would ordinarily object to. According to publications sent to me from the Department of Justice DNA has been collected from all newborns in this country since at least the late 1990's.

Remember when we first found out about the Patriot Act? The then president said that it would not be applied against American citizens. Now the government claims it has the right to kill Americans in drone attacks. What happens when foreign governments adopt the same similar laws to be applied in this country? Watch out!

The Freedom of Information Act is a very powerful tool and I will do all I can to keep it from being diminished. It is constantly under attack by state and certain federal agencies.
