3-9-13 No Justice! By LeVar E Jones

Justice have no end, but justice ain't for us,
Justice ain't equal, sit yo ass on the back of the bus.
They got the constitution, say people are treated equal,
That's what they say, but that's not for black people.
Got us fighting for our lives, in a system that's twisted,
Taking you 15 years, just to get the conviction lifted.
Wearing the same color, having you too institutionalized,
The time they gave you, really caught you by surprise
JUSTICE? You say where are your rights?
They deprived you of that, so now you cry at night.
You struggle with internal demons, trying to rehabilitate,
But it's your third strike, now it's way too late.
You file motions and appeals, but they get shot down,
You proved your case, but it won't turn your conviction around.
You sit in solitude, stuck in a 2 man cell,
Wondering why your soul mate, isn't sending you mail.
You made a bad decision, guess this was your fate,
Behind barb wire gates, you try to find God and your faith.
You cry out loud to God, hoping nobody won't hear,
But you doubt Him, He's the only one you should fear.
Think about the consequence, before you do what you do,
Because there's no justice, for a black man like you!
