1-25-13 Do Not Pass Go By LeVar E Jones

If people never commit crimes, there wouldn't be no guards,
Nobody to handcuff, no prisons with cell bars.
They say if you build them, they will come,
They're coming in fast, faster than they let go of one.
They call it a revolving door, it goes round and round,
Parole violations for parolees who decide to spit on the ground.
They racial profile you, yeah, I'm talking about blacks,
And they wonder why federal judges are breathing down their backs.
Saying you have too many, your prisons are over packed,
It's like a warehouse, and the bunks are triple stacked.
Can't get good medical, or mental health care,
So people commit suicide, because these officials don't care.
All they care about is their checks, how many zeros they got,
They throw you in jail, toss the key, you pretty much rot!
Laws are changing, they say, but they are quick to violate,
Violate your parole and send you to a place you hate.
They treat you disrespectful, because you wear blue,
Misusing their authority, telling you to do stuff you shouldn't do.
Think less of you 'cause you're an inmate, but you're still a man,
Try to rehabilitate yourself, 'cause they won't lend you a hand.
As long as there is a penal code, they always want you to fail,
They'll chain your ass up and throw you straight in jail
You throw the dice, take the risk, 2+2=4,
Move your token 4 spaces to jail, and do not pass go!
