Hello my people. I'm apologizing for not keeping my word.
I said in my last posted that I was goona write back that
following week. I really want, people to know that I really
appreciate them coming to my site and reading what I have to
say. Living day-to-day in this prison environment one can easily
be thrown off track. In my case, over the years I've grown
to love playing basketball, and every year we have a prison
basketball league. Well, before the season started guy was asking
me to play with their teams, and I was tellin them that I
wasn't going to play this year, because I just wanted to focus all
my time on working out and studying. But by the time the season
kicked-off, one of my homie asked me to join the team for
one last run, and I did. We finished the regular season, with
best record in the house. Two team from each housing unit with
the best record get a chance to play in the playoff.
I'm proud to say that my team, is now playing for the king of
the hill title.
We played yesterday, and the game ended with a tie. So Wenesday
we play the five-minute overtime. If we won, then we have to
play this same team again because it's double elimination. We're
going to win. So I'm going to leave prison with the title.
"LEBRON LEBRON". That's my cat.
In my last posted, I think I spoken about my participation
in Toastmasters, for those of you that don't know what
Toastmasters, is, Toastmasters International has been recognized as the
leading organization dedicated to communication and leadership skill
development. Through its worldwide network of clubs, each week Toastmasters
helps more than a quarter million men and women of every ethnicity
education level and profession build their competence in communication
so they can gain the confidence to lead others.
By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams an guiding others
to achieve their goals, leaders emerge. They learn to tell their stories. They
listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback-and accept
it. They find their path to leadership.
So I felt like this organization could help me, in prison and on
the outside.
Last week, Our club Alpha Crave, had a debate about the pros
and cons about Gun control. The pro' won. My personal feeling is
America really do needs gun control. I think when someone
has a gun in their possession, their personality change.
I'm on the outside looking in, and I think that people seems to
only have compassion for one another when a tragedy happen.
That have to change America. We have to stop discriminating against
each other. I feel that politician aren't doing what their
hired to do. Make them work for the people and not for the
corporation. That's just what I think.
But at anyrate, I have to give a speech this week, The title
of my speech is "The Genius Within". I was told by the
president of our club, that I just missed being Toastmaster of the
year. Maybe next time.
Hey. April 30, is finally here, Missouri Supreme Court, is set to hear three
cases juvenile ruling. That means within the next 40 days I will be
back in St. Louis, fighting to get time served, freedom is here.
The last few months been pretty hard on me. Not because I
asn't been making it. The wait has been killing me.
The most important lesson that I'm trying to learn right
now is patience. Because I truly know that if you have the
ability to horn the skill to be patience, you can win in this world.
Now that's some food for thought.
Hey the weather has been crazy here in Missouri. Hot one day, the
next day snow, then hot and raining. Hopefully as the month of
May comes in along with sunny hot days. Yeah, I almost forgot
there's a few new shows that comes on NGO National
Geo Graphic Channel called Brains Games and Numbers Games, both
of them are pretty good
I'm having a food visit on 5-18-13, My family is going to bring
me some fish, chicken, fried rice, and cheese cake. The last food visit
I had was March 16, 2013. It was great.
Plus on May 9, Toastmaster, is having a banquet we're going to
have alot of street food, I'm glad because prison banquet gives
brother that don't have family member who would come see
them on food visit, It gives them a chance to enjoy food from
outside of prison.
Well, Im happy I got a chance to let it be known whats going
on in this prison world this has been my report. I will
be getting back at y'all next week. Until then find somebody
to do something nice for. Tell somebody they look nice today
Tell your parents that you love them
LOVE IS LOVE
