Know Me Not
You say you know me I don't believe you. You've never seen me cry. You've never seen me broken. You've heard my words but have never actually listened. You've seen my scars but never helped me heal. You've seen me smile, but that smile had only appeared to hide my pain. To hide how I truly felt. You've never taken the time to listen to my heart beat. Only reason you know I'm alive is because I'm standing upright. When I do lay it is only to give my lacrimal glands a rest. I feel you beside me but you are not the reason I dream peacefully. My heart beats fast but you are not the reason. Water forms between the surface of my eyes and my eyelids. I'm thinking about her. She who knows me.
