Luis Perez is a Cuban National serving a sentence of life since 1971, he also was incarcerated at USP-TERRAHAUTE, while he was at that facility College Classes was available, including "HAIKU POETRY." He obtained a College/Associate Degree on Liberal Art from the Mount Washusetts Community College - Massachusetts.

DRIFTING ON THE OCEAN

Ocean boy;
no destination
Cuban fishing boat.

Revolution and thoughts
weapons at hand
bridges to cross.

Autumn night,
day after day
fishing of hope.

The fountain,
pure water
exploring the world.

Dolphins pushed;
the fisherman
and the boy.

No safety net,
only a
fishing net.

Fishing souls,
thoughts on the ocean
drifting without net.
