When Everything's Lost

Trust is not easily given from a heart that's been bruised,
Love is meant to be tenderly cherished not deceivingly used.
But I guess we all fall down before we learn to walk,
And we all struggle with words before we can actually talk.
So pay attention to life and let your past failures be a lesson,
So your new love doesn't become a curse and you don't ruin a blessing.
You may only get one chance because tomorrow's not for sure,
So before you give love a disease let me give you a cure.
You have to cherish what you love and hold on at all cost,
Because it's not easy to find something that's missing when everything's lost.

Love,
Kiyoshi
