I've been so angry,
I haven't taken the time to apologize,
I'm sorry for the pain I caused,
I hope you don't think otherwise,
It took a long time
For me to come to this conclusion,
Because the sentence I was given
Has really caused me some confusion,
I didn't think that I deserved it
All I thought about was me,
I blamed your family for my problems
Despite how crazy that may be,
It's taken all these years
For me to think about your pain,
I felt that I too had lost my life
Even though it's not the same,
When I stopped thinking about myself
That's when it all came clear,
All the damage I had caused
The hurt the pain the fear,
It will never be enough
As I pay for my mistake,
The bible says to love
But I understand your hate.
