Black Africans have the longest history of armed opposition to colonialism & neo colonialism, in the western hemisphere, & in the world, usually as individuals & groups, societal armed opposition being less common. A typical day in a maroon community was the morning spent working on community duties, the afternoon spent in individual meetings, discussing what was going on with individual community members. The evenings & nights were time off, besides the two to three evenings & nights, set aside a week for community history discussion, & religious & political discussions. This is the community model I advocate. In this community model my role will be to coordinate individual meetings, to coordinate community history education, & to coordinate religious & political discussions. This community model relates closest to the struggle of indigenous peoples' communities in the western hemisphere.
