Dear Readers,

So, I realize lately that my posts have been a little grey with shades of black boldly splashed across them and as always with a break up I tend to delve into my darker side but rest assured I'm picking myself back up and movin' on... it was difficult for me to wrap my head around the "you're O.K. for in prison" thing but that just isn't true. I'm great for anywhere, I'm beautiful, smart, outgoing, and have a personality that is out of this world and if the man I was with is too blind to see that, well...

Anyone would be lucky to have me. :)

So here's the haps here in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. They are starting to release inmates due to the overcrowding and I may be one of the low level offenders that it will affect. They are giving inmates extra good time credits for good behavior and it may let me get out about 4 years early. I have already spent ten years here and I'm ready to go. I have transitional living plans in place and I know what my profession will be (Cosmetology) as that field is a little more accepting than any other for my folks. :) Keep your fingers crossed and I will let y'all know in September what is going to happen.

By the way, for anyone reading this, there is a new site out there for pen-pal inmates, visit it and send an inmate a letter today at www.cellblock-services.com, every inmate could use mail and it's nice to get a letter. Unfortunately, society as a whole forget about its incarcerated and there are some good people here who have made mistakes, some of them terrible mistakes, but they still feel and are human beings and need someone to reach out to them, you just might save someone's life.

O.K., enough for now but listen, thanks for all your letters of support and concern and comments, it really means a great deal to know that there are people out there who support inmates and the things they think about.
