Putting It Out

Putting Out Good

Yesterday, I was speaking to a young man who is returning to the streets very soon. Even though the place we live in teaches us to hide any fear, and we walk around with hard looks on our faces like masks. I read his huge brown eyes and could clearly see the fear in them. I began to tell him that he doesn't have to return to prison if he chooses to quit the game and he should take a hard look around and see this place for what it is--a part of the GAME period. and when he gets free if he chooses to play again surely he'd be back here. 90% of the men here will answer this question with a quick 'YES" but the return rate is 80%. His answer was that he feels done but isn't really ready. WOW the first honesty out of him yet. I told him that he must make a plan now and write it down not to show off but for himself. Only his goals and real direction. I told him that I can do this if he can do that out there, and don't be afraid to ask for help, sadly we are our worst enemies by far our ego's. Egos and a bad case of the fuck its will get us back here too quick. Hopefully he picked up what I was putting out.
