{California Prison Reduction}

And the political games continue as people still die due to inadequate medical care and mental healthcare. In the meantime, California is the only state that seems it's above following federal law. Prison in California is big business, whole towns exist because there is a prison on the outskirts. If there was a prison shutdown, local economy situated around a prison would literally collapse. In the meantime, U.S. citizens are steadily dying or going back to the free world with even more hate in their hearts. U.S. likes to talk about other countries' human rights violations, yet need only look within to find their own. Men in prison should be required to face themselves and the impacts their criminal behavior has had on society. They should be trained to contribute equally, allowed to participate in vocations equally, and not disqualified due to classifications. Remember, these are the men who are returning to the community eventually.
