RE: Pelican Bay SHU art: (post)...

On my days where I have some free time (funny huh, you'd think I'd have nothing but free time in a cell 24-7).

But not so, I fill my days with a lot of activities. From the time I get out of bed at 5:30am or 6:00am, until I turn my light out at 8:00pm, I'm doing something.

But I usually try to squeeze in a couple of hours of drawing every day.

Although my priorities are more educational first. But when I need a break.

I turn to drawing, it eases my mind and takes me far from the SHU.

My art work is mostly about what I feel and want to put on paper. But some are just that I like the subject. But my artwork mainly deals with the struggles of all the oppressed people in the world.

The drawing of Che is my favorite, in his beret. I drew people of different cultures because we are all in this together, men and women alike.

That's why I drew the little warrior enclosed to represent the women who struggle every day to survive.

Respect
Pablo
