Watching the Doctors

Hi, Bill. How are you? Good to hear from you. Got your last posted comments on Christmas Eve. Hope you had a good Christmas. I'm sure the dog got a present too. My mom always got our dog a present. He (a big Doberman named Hercules) would tear through the paper to get to the huge store bought bone inside, and he would annihilate that bone. Everyone got presents, including the pets.

Yup, my birthday was November 30. I'm 37 now, and I feel a lot older. This sciatic nerve is really aggravating and frustrating me. I go to medical every 2-3 weeks, and all they want to do is give me anti-inflammatory pills. A simple MRI test would show what's wrong and why I'm in so much pain, but that's not how they do it here.

Anyway, I'll explain about my daughter. My daughter Krista is 15. Her mother is some girl I met in Parma, Ohio when I stayed there for three weeks in late 1996. Krista's mom is Joanne. But when I left Ohio, I never knew she was pregnant. We went out a couple times and then I never saw her again. Krista's mother turned a blind eye to her boyfriend molesting my daughter for two years. And now she wants nothing to do with her. And no matter what, know that my daughter is in a lot of pain because her mother abandoned her.

When I came to prison, Justine was just one-two weeks pregnant. And her life was turned upside down and, between her mom and the Bucks County detective hounding her, making her life hell, she lost the baby. It was her first miscarriage, and it destroyed her. She didn't tell her parents because they weren't on her side and, between her parents and the Bucks County detectives trying to manipulating her into testifying against me, she couldn't handle the pressure. If that wouldn't have happened, I think she would still be alive today.

As for your response to my question, thanks for taking the time to answer it. Let me look up the word empathy. Okay, it says capacity to identify with a person or object. Exactly what you said.

There's a lot of hate in prison, so that's usually the reason why people in here do the things they do. I don't want this life for my child though, so I am praying someone in the children and family services agency can help her.

I'm somewhat desensitized so the holidays in here don't affect me very much. In prison, Christmas is just another day. What did affect me was that so many people promised to send my daughter something for Christmas and 75% didn't bother. I'm unsure how to deal with them now because I'm very angry about it. I never broke my word/promise, and this hurts my child. And all I wanted was to help her have a nice Christmas. It's something that I'll have to think about for a while.

My friend BJ rescued a puppy from being put down, and she loves her little dog. I wish more people who want pets would go to the local SPCA and save one. The last stats I read were that a million dogs were put down every year. And I do watch the Animal Planet Channel's show about the SPCA in Philly or Houston or wherever city it's in for that episode. Sad that people would treat animals that way. But then, when the dog bites someone to protect itself, everyone seems to want it put down.

Well, I gotta get going, Bill. I have to make my second Happy Birthday call to my mom today. She's 58 today, and I call on every birthday. But her sister is supposed to be there today, and I haven't spoken to my aunt Cindy on the phone in over 15 years. It's too expensive to call out of state.

A lot of people don't want to believe that you can change, especially in here. Thank you for giving me that chance to show you a little. Take care, Bill. God bless. Go ahead and play with the dog. Ciao.
