I ask Allah, the most high, the omnipotent, to always guide and support you.

My name is Kevin D Washington, (Abdul Majid Wahid). I am 40 years of age, mu'mineen, Muslim, political prisoner.

I have been actively practising (the din) since 1997, upon bearing witness that: ash hadu un la llaha ill-la wa ash hadu anna muhammad an abduhu wa rasulallah.

The reason why I write this risala (letter) is to express that I have been incarcerated since 19 years of age, now been imprisoned for 21 years. I committed a major sin of murder of a human being.

Since this crime occured I have been living in sorrow, shame, and pain through ignorance, indecency, addiction, misguidance, wrong choices and actions.

Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah (SAWAW) has said: migration to true Islam demolishes all the past sins.

Today, my life consists of striving in the cause of Allah (SWT) through continuous daily studies, my dawah and everyday communications, and my walk in behavious by righteousness and forbidden wrong, thus my purpose in community is (unity of Muslim ummah) 'Insha-alla' within the sijjin (prison) by bridging communication and brotherhood with ummah's out in society (freedom)...

The main reason I am writing is to beseek financial assistance towards my regaining my adl-e-llahi (Allah's justice) of freedom from this Western/Christian hostage prison. My life as a Mu'mineen Muslim has been brought to your awareness in all honesty in safeguarding the oath you entered into with Allah (SWT). It's in your power to do so, I humbly ask my larger Ummah to respond to a Mu'mineen Muslim call for help.
