It's Time For a Moratorium: Stop The U.S. Death Machines Now!
The recent legal torturing of Oklahoma death row prisoner Clayton Lockett exposes what opponents of the death penalty have been saying for centuries now. And that is, it's unfair, racist, cruel, barbaric, inhumane, and it is not a violent crime deterrent.
It is time for the Supreme Court of the United States to weigh in on the issue, but due to the current political climate in this country, the likelihood of the Supreme Court intervening is about as good as the odds of you or I winning the Mega Millions lottery.
Nevertheless, we, the people who oppose the death machinery, must step up our efforts to educate and organize the masses in this struggle to permanently end the use of the death penalty of the U.S. judicial system.
