Yes I can understand and relate to much of what you have said but it's not that serious because this ins only the fist step in the right direction. It's kind of sad to say but it's like when anyone seeks out new adventures, new territory. For many in the SHU this is an opportunity worth taking, any risks, because after all is settled and smoothed out it will be a much better place. And age does not have a lot to do with it, it's more about the experience and wisdom that is accumulated through daily struggles.
The main thing is not to give up when you know that what you are doing is the right thing and that it will benefit the masses in the future.
Prisons are the same across the board because they hold the exact same type of individuals. The faces may be different but in the end of the day, it is all the same. The gang problems are in all jails and prisons. They are just different from the others.
But prison life is unique and if you want to survive it you must understand it and that also means understanding those who live within its walls.
Thank you for writing though, and I really appreciate your thoughts and wishes but you should know that I just got your letter. I wondered why I had not heard from you and then I saw the address on the envelope, the letter was sent to my old SHU address. Guess someone figured i'd be back in my old cell by now. Well not yet, I still have another opportunity so I will see how that goes.

I'm not sure what is happening with the site. It seems as though things are uploaded (your letters) and sent out once every two weeks or so.
I know that my response to you waited three weeks to go out - they originally thought that they would send them out once a week. But I can see when they go out (they put the date on them and say that the response has been sent) - and now you tell me that it went to an old address.
I think that most of what happens is through the original folks who created the site. The idea was that they would get a lot of volunteers - but I don't know if that is happening.
I actually used to live down the street from where they are located (I lived close to MIT). But now I'm a few states away (or I'd love to volunteer).
People still read what is sent in - it's just that the mail, I think, has slowed quite a bit.
I hope they continue to find a way to do this (or find a way for someone else to do it). I think it's a pretty important way for people to communicate.

Hopefully, they'll send out the mail soon. I'm not sure why there is such a delay.
I did look online and saw that you went to another prison. I hope that it was a move that was 'for the better' and you are close to your family.
