I No Longer Cry

I No Longer Cry

If I don't shed tears forgive me it's hard to cry when your empty,
Alone in a cell wondering where can my friends be.
No phone calls or letters coming through the postal,
and everyday it gets harder to find reasons to be hopeful.
Distracting my mind through education because knowledge is power,
but this solitude and stillness has the strength to devour.
Even the best of us who get tired of this game,
laying in this cell daydreaming about fortune and fame.
Knowing I'll never go home because it's here I've been sentenced to die
I've shed all my tears that's why I no longer cry.
