What is Love?

I'm giving a shout-out to my family and friends for the holidays. All of you remain in my heart and thoughts, but most importantly in my prayers. Also to the family of Jose Luis Gomez: my sympathy remains with you for a lifetime. There's not a day that goes by that I don't pray for you. Because of him, I strive to be a better person.

Please listen to this song by Big Daddy Weaye. Pay attention to the words. It describes my life. It's called "Redeemed".

What is Love?

How do you say you love if you show no effort? How do you express the most deepest emotion? Love... are they merely words that we say to someone because it sounds good? Or are they words that we say to a loved one?

But how do we show love? Me, personally, if I say that I love you it's because I mean it and I'm ready to show you with actions. If you were my father or mother, I've shown you my love with gifts or affection. I have taken you out to dinner or showed up on holidays. If you are my children, I've provided to the best of my ability. I've worked two jobs; I've put food on the table; I've clothed you. Even as a single mother 'cause you never had a father! I was both! I've given you the best, all I had, all of who I am! Never leaving you without!

But was it enough? Was it enough...? That you've left me alone? Did I worry about everything else that I forgot to teach you loyalty?

How do you tell someone you love without no actions?
