Poems

From Counterfeit Freedom by Roland F. Stoecker Jr (author's profile)

Transcription

- The Memory of Forgetting -

- Fire and Water -

The girl I fell in love with
hides in the woman
made of scares.
The man / boy that I am
wants to save her
I cry tears of shame
because I can't!

Roland 12/1/14

- All sales are final -

You sit there
waiting for the resurrection
but I've got news for you
we're already dead!

Roland 12/19/14

When I try to remember the past, I get frustrated because there is a few spot light moments, its mostly a dark room I've never been in before. I keep stumbling into furniture and I'm growing tired of asking for help "will someone please turn on the light?" So I use the blood seeping out of the wounds on my legs to attract the starving ghosts into that room so I won't be alone with my fragmented thoughts.

Your words help me find the light spots in my memory, thank you so much for writing
I might not understand where you're coming from, but you are not alone, and my thoughts are with you today and in days in the future
you are cared for and I wish you lights like candles and everything that is possible, you deserve it

I hope you are well, thank you for reaching out and thank you for helping my sadness
all the best
