Charge It 2 Da Game
We got a saying when something don't go right where I'm from that goes, "Charge it to the game." I'm going to chalk this one up and change it to the game. One thing, two things be sure: I'm a good woman and your loss is someone else's gain!
You see, Gregory Clay Jr. aka Lil' Mann, loves me unconditionally. He ain't going nowhere. He ain't lyin' or cheating. Naw, my step-son is the one person who I'd never let go of. He's like my own blood. He knows he's got sisters, and NO MAN who is a man is going to tell me I can't be there for him. See... he won't get charged. It's the game. You will though.
Let me go on and tell you a few things. Where I come from and where I've been puts me in situations I had to get straight gamey. I've been in situations where I had to charge it to the game I was in. Yet I know that i was a good woman to men I cared for. When they proved themselves unworthy, they got charged to the game.
You thought you were above that reproach, but you weren't. You need to really get yourself together 'cause you'll only keep women who have no self-respect, no self-esteem, or no friggin' backbone. But see, I got all three of them. I got a lot of backbone—I just play meek.
I don't do men who feel they can dictate my thoughts, actions, or emotions. No by boi. Nor do I do a man who tries to be controlling, especially when he lacks self-control. So I'll charge it to the game—that I saw the best in you until you showed me the worst in you.
You know, one thing I'm convince about at the end of the night is the regret's not going to be mine. Naw, you'll regret what you did over the last 17 months. When you see me SHINE, you'll realize what you threw away. You charge that to the game.
By the way, if a man's to be head of the household, he should conduct himself as a provider instead of letting other people take on that responsibility. You see, I've always been the head of my households because I've always been the provider. Because I didn't always depend on them to take care of me. They had whatever they desired and, when I left, I charged it all to the game.
Now that I look at this from all sides, I know this is a lesson learned and the last time I charge it to the game. Mr. Jesus' will side too deep and, when he changes my mind, I'll let Him open a new door. One to a love that will last forever.
You charged me to the game.
I charged us to the same.
