One of my favorite persons in this world is my dear Aunt Phyllis. She once told me, "Rob (she still calls me by my childhood name :)), you can take 10,000 steps way from Jesus, but it's never more than one back." I've been telling men that for a good ten years now, always telling them, "My dear Aunt Phyllis once told me..."
The last time I relapsed—well, the time before my last ever relapse—I was reincarnated. I broke my Aunt Phyllis's heart, I'm sure. And I've not heard from her or spoken to her in fourteen years.
Approximately four weeks ago, I asked the church here, My Aunt Di, and many others to pray for reconciliation for me and Aunt Phyllis. Then I did my part and sent off a card to my cousin Maru, requesting that he give it to Aunt Phyllis.
Today, I got a card and letter—a blessed letter!—from my Aunt Phyllis. The funny thing is it was sent way back when I'd asked for the prayer! :) Ha! That's my God! After the tears dried, I wrote this. :)
