Residence

Maintaining a residence is one key in being responsible, independent and grounded in the community and abiding the conditions of your parole. Even when you've completed parole you should maintain a residence. It will not only ensure you will have a permanent residence but it will also make you responsible in other areas, show other individuals that you can be trusted. People tend to be more inviting and social when you have a stable residence. You also may gain assistance in other areas. Keeping a clean and neat residence reflects on the type of individual you are and can tend to speak of your intentions on how you may treat others. An unkempt home is an unkempt individual. Having a residence goes a long way in society. It can open all sorts of doors such as financial opportunities, getting a car loan, respect from an employer, which could lead to more responsibilities at work, advancement, a higher salary or perhaps better benefits. Employers love workers who are stable. A stable employee is very beneficial to a company's production, bottom line and everyone in the company remaining employed. You may even obtain a line of credit from local shop owner or the local credit union just by having a residence because through it they can learn how responsible you have been in keeping with you bills. So you can see how having and maintain a residence is beneficial, advantageous and very crucial in ceasing opportunities you may not be afforded if you did not have a residence. Think of how nice it would feel having your own place, the freedom you will have and the things you can do. It's all worth it. Having your own residence gives you far more peace of mind. It gives you something that you have been lacking, dreaming and longing for all those years you spent in somebody else's house, it gives you your own private space; as much as you want and to do what you want. There is no better feeling in this area, quiet thoughts, thinking, serenity and carpet under your feet. You will always remember the smell of prison, the over-crowdedness, the waiting to use one restroom, selfishness, noise, hardness, restrictions, rules and most of all, you will remember the very small and confined space you were allotted to inch around in. When you replace all of those things in your past with freshness and softness of your own place you can do as you please and feel good about it. You can continue looking through your bay window without bars and stare up at the stars well past midnight if you wish and do not have to worry about being out of bounds or those things that were off limits; light your own fireplace and sleep in when you wish; in your own oversized bed and roll around on the grass of your front and back yard anytime you want. Privacy will never be so important, feel so amazing and relished so thoughtfully. Imagine having the peace of mind, ease and freedom to explore every inch of your own place. Having your own residence is the first step towards independence, not to mention how many arguments it may save you by not living with someone else and living up to their expectations. With your own residence, you make the rules, have your own bed, bedroom, TV, kitchen and refrigerator loaded with your favorites and can enjoy whenever you want and as much as you wish. The leisure, flexibility, and pleasure you will have by having your own place will be unmatched by anything else. Be a good neighbor and always act neighborly.
