Been a busy day here so far... spent most of le matin writing lettres of concern for a fellow blogger who's being persecuted en Russia pour her postings en opposition to le Ukraine invasion. Evidently, no government appreciates it when its citizens speak out against their military adventures. Et at this juncture, we run into le frailties of le human personality.
Mon pere told moi last week cela tu had checked en; did he tell tu cela we tried —unsuccessfully— to call tu right after cela first attack in Belgium?

After my 3 days I spent in Brussels I found your 2 letters from April 25th and 27th.

Brussels was exiting! I loved those interesting areas.I walked a lot! Saw the house of Horta, an Art Nouveau House;just splendid!!I bought some post cards and will send them to you just to see what his new architectional (?)art designs were!So, you've any idea!!:o
That same day I stepped a lot! I walked from one community to yet another in the warm weather. We've summer temps!Like around 79F.
I saw the Leopold III park. That was a king of ours. The grandfather of our current king Filip.It suddenly began to rain slightly and I went under a tree.The one where Rodolf, a black man stood too.We talked a lot of hours and when it started to get darker, I still liked to walk home.He accompanied me till my hotel.He was 48.He is an indignated (?) Congolese man.An activist who wrote a letter.
My hotel was nice!!With a delicious breakfast!A cozy room and all surrounded by great restaurants! Obama said it: 'Your country is dangerous, foodwise'!:)))
The other day I went to yet another park.The one of Vorst. People were all out with that great weather!! I read a good book and even fell asleep in the sun. smile
Only the very first day of my staying I had a bad cold!!My eyeballs were hurting!Ouch!:( The next day it all was gone!
George, I had to laugh with your sentence:... 'there's plenty of pep in my step'.I just can feel your energy! I feel good when you feel good! My visit is just around the corner.
It will be so good touching you again! :)))

I put on some nice music on your birthday!It felt almost you were here.:))Did you get the B-day card with the drawing in it?Liked it? Did it come in time? Hope nevertheless you could celebrate it in any way?I MISSED YOU TREMENDOUSLY, GEORGE! :(( That same evening we had a meeting with our block. We all decided to let place another floor upon this current one.Several terraces had problems. And even later that same day Marie France (the girlfriend of Robert)and me called till 1:30 am in the morning!!So, it was quite a special day to say the least.

Tomorrow I leave Antwerp to watch Lynn, together with mom. She stays a week, while I stay 15 days at the coast; Koksijde, where they have an apartment.Bart picks me up, than mom.On august the 29th I am back home.I've to paint a painting for a contest. A judge decides if my painting will hang in an exhibition hall, together with other art objects. The theme: 'Zone'. I will paint something from nature.A garden, an abstract painting with greens, etc, or maybe a mosaic like scene? That's for September. I'll be busy! I've two workshops as well.
One with Music,(the voice!) and one called:'Nature as your personal coach'.Perhaps my niece Bertrada will visit me; the second daughter of uncle Oktaaf.In September I will prepare my visit to you, George!In Chester I've a week, Best Western, and the second week: The Hospitality House.If a group there doesn't show up, I can go from the beginning of my staying. That would be much cheaper in price!On October 6 I fly to San Diego.My first day to visit you George, would be October 25, with or without your dad. All depends if John is capable to drive?
