if a community, or a section, or a race, or an age, is groaning under industrialism, & well aware that it is an evil dispensation, it must find the way to throw it off
beware the technological juggernaut, reckon the terrible costs, understand the world's being lost in the world being gained, reflect on the price of the machine & its systems on your life, pay attention to the natural world & its increasing destruction, resist the seductive catastrophe of industrialism.
it is the task of industrial society to destroy all that community implies, such as self-sufficiency, mutual aid, morality in the marketplace, & organic knowledge instead of mechanistic science,
