A murmur in the dark
With the best of intentions
However distant.

Hard
Because a shadow can't light another
Summers like winters
Hearts filled with indecisions
Heavy farewells
To a lover left caged

You free
To roam, to explore, to see
Until a rim of light
Sweeps over your darkness
Like morning over mountains

So it becomes hard
Harder...
To love a shadow
