Tired of The BS of The "Wealthy and Powerful"?
If so, my comrades at the National Lawyers Guild have created a free podcast, Motion to Resist!, that seeks to demystify the legal system for activists, legal professionals, and the public alike. They will feature guests from the frontlines of social movements (like #BLM), lawyers, legal workers, students, etc.—all of the same mind of building community-led power.
Emma Caterine, co-founder, host, and student at City University of New York School of Law, broke down the motivation behind the podcast:
The oppressed people of the world are standing up to reject rule by the wealthy and powerful. The NLG have always been there to support movements; they are what inspired the creation of this podcast. Unlike the legal commentary of corporate media, we are not afraid to present radical alternatives or to boldly stand up against misogyny and racism in U.S. law.
