Christmas 2016
Dear friends,
Greetings! WOW! God is so good! Amen. Please know that you and yours have been in prayer and shall continue to be.
The Word tells us 1,000 years is as a day to our Lord. The year 2016 seems like a 1,000 years to me as I look back. I've learned this year that the greatest healing comes from the greatest pain. I've experienced both! I was pretty close to "graduation"; only a miracle kept me here. But God said: "Not so quick. You've more to do." As I write this, I'm full of joy and hope. I pray you are too.
My mother and son both experienced broken legs. I imagine they've both learned a lot about pain and healing also. From the photos Jesse sent of him and my two grandsons, Tyler and Kash, taken while he was down, that worked out pretty good. "Yeah, Dad's home!" My mother is back at work and knowing her, doing more than her share.
The Lord lets me know I was done with formal education, at least secular. I still hope to complete the remaining course work for a Masters in Biblical Counseling as finances allow.
With much thanks to many people, I am now and forever a published author. My book "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" - Christian Fiction - by Robert Russell is now available at Kindle. A booklet I wrote, "Bible College: What You Need to Know", is also available at Kindle.
My oldest friend and brother through good times and bad, Dr. Rod Stark, was out from Vegas for a visit this last spring. What an amazing blessing!
Be blessed as you remember our Dear Savior's birth. Make a list of all who have ever offended you—write across it "forgiven" and give it to Him as your gift.
Peace and light in Christ
