Real TalkāThe View of a Connecticut Prisoner Vol. 1 No. 1
by Richard Stevenson
Greetings, free world! Welcome to the first essay of the above mentioned title. In this series, we can discuss any topic you or I choose. You get the benefit of receiving the view of a Connecticut prisoner, and I get to learn from the vast resource that is you.
So let's get right into it. President-elect Trump! In my opinion, he's the typical northeastern, ill-mannered, blow-hard bully equipped with nearly every advantage parents would want their children to have. Being an Independent, I really do believe he does have some good ideas for the country. I truly believe that everyone has good ideas. But I also believe that they all have bad ideas too.
I'm not one who believes that Mr. Trump will totally wreck the country. But I believe that the gap between the poor and the rich will get extremely wider by the time he's done. I also believe that his administration will not be scandal-less. Too many rich people are too close to too much money. Mr. Trump himself said that he got to where he's at because he is greedy. I believe him.
I believe that there will be a number of high profile Freedom of Information lawsuits because this administration will try to keep as much of their shenanigans as secret as possible, and you better believe that there will be many. Just look at the many lies Mr. Trump is telling now. It's indicative of what is to come. I grew up around pathological liars. The one thing I have learned is that no one lies for nothing. One lies either to misdirect you or to hide the truth. So keep the following in mind: Patterns are clues to underlying truths!
