Refiner's Fine

It's been many months since I've posted on my blog. The state claimed my typewriter when I transfered to a Level 2 prison for good behavior. It was not "clean plastic" as the new appliance guidelines mandate. I am ashamed of my penmanship. You see, I have three fingers on my left hand that are non-malleable and held on by six screws. Makes it hard to write. :(

I've been "going through it"! In July, I suffered a severe attack that ended with a horrendously painful condition called Ludgate Anginal Syndrome. I received no treatment for 52 days. It ended with an emergency ambulance, flat line in CPR, emergency surgery and twenty-eight days in the hospital. The pain haunts me to this day. My days have been dominated by fear. I've believed Satan's lies and lived in isolation, fear and darkness.

Today, every attitude sinful I've laid down and said, "Lord." TBN is on TV and the program is testimony and worship.

As I lay back, silent, I had a vision. I'm a Southern Bobtient. We're not big on visions! But vision it was. I was suspeneded, kinda hangin' in space, and a light like fire was blazin' at me. It seemed to make me almost transparent. I had a lone, single thought—refiner's fire!

I laid there, "trippin'" as we say, being blasted by fire, not knowing what this meant as I've rarely experienced anything like it. One minute in a worship song comes on TBN. All of a sudden, I could hear it loud. The song that began had lyrics that proclaimed, "Love like fire!"

I've never heard that expression before, but I'll never forget it!

Something happened—I'm just not sure what.
