Dear Readers,
Howdy! Many blessings to you all.
I'm in the Hole (SHU/Segregation) again. This time it was my fault. I had something that I wasn't supposed to have (don't ask) and my cell was searched. I think someone told on me.
So... I had my hearing for my "shot" (incident report) and received 41 days loss of "good time," 30 days of SHU time, and six months loss of commissary and visiting. The worst part is that when I get out, I'll have lost the great cell I was in in my unit. I'll lose my great mattress and probably a lot of other property.
I'm missing out on typing jobs now and very likely will miss out on the Gay Day held in June. If I don't get released early, I'll be in here all month. This really sucks.
When I was first brought to SHU, I was put in a cell with a total asshole. It was awful. After four days, I was moved to another cell and had a wonderful cellie from the Low next door. The guys from the Low Security prison next door are brought to the SHU here. It was great, and I had a wonderful time.
Of course, that didn't last. This guy had already had his hearing and was serving his SHU time. So they decided to change things and, after only four days of fun, they moved all the guys SHU time (aka DS time or Disciplinary Segregation) to our range (a hallway of cells). So he was moved.
Here's the part that really sucks. I had my hearing the very next day after they moved him. If they had waited one freakin' day, we could have moved together. But no. When they moved me to the DS Range, he already had a cellie and they put me in with a Puerto Rican guy from the Low. We've managed to get along fairly well, but there have been some tense moments, and it sure as hell hasn't been enjoyable.
This really sucks. Yes, I know it was my fault. I broke the rules. It still sucks.
So, I'm in this cell 24/7, and all I do is lay in bed and read and sleep. Fortunately, there's a shower in the cell so I can shower every day. I have two more weeks of this crap and then I get to struggle to put what life I had back together. Awesome.
Until next time, I wish you...
Love and blessings,
Kelly

Is 24/7 a date? Can't get out in daytime?By now you could be out?Too bad you couldn't be with that other guy.I hope you get along with the Puerto Rican.:o Time will show.
I hope you are well, Kelly. And didn't loose too many items.Get your job back. George was knocked a tooth out!; he told me when I was visiting. He's okay now.He had his birthday and celebrated it alone. They had for so long lock down! :( He wrote a few long letters to me. I made a beautiful drawing (two frogs kissing on a waterlily flower) in his nice birthday card (a hamster with a lollypop in the shape of a heart).
He wrote this for you: "Tell Kelly i said to stay strong even in the darkest of times. You never know when that special someone will enter your life. It might be a love, or it might be a friend. It's so easy to give up in here- and difficult to fight back through loneliness.Keep up the struggle- stay strong, and keep an eye out for anyone else who's in the same boat". Lovely words from him... :)
I believe in you, Kelly. Have faith, always. And be a good person to others.
