Scary
Who would ever have thought that the Republicans would have allowed Sen. Lisa Murkowski to get side-swiped by Joe Miller as the Alaska GOP's candidate for senate? Who would have ever believed that there would be such an upset? Some Democrats say that'll teach the Republicans for instituting the close primary but that's not the issue, is it? So many Republicans thought that Lisa was a shoe-in and independents in our district took the Democratic allot so they could vote for Neal Foster.

So now the Republicans have a Tea-Party, Sarah Palin-endorsed yuppie laywer from Fairbanks who wants to tear down, destroy, and throw away the government services that Alaskans have waited in life a long time to get thrown our way. Uncle Ted is probably rolling himself smooth. Surely the Republicans aren't so silly as to deny the federal dollars we get for transportation, defense, public health, and education. But wait, maybe the education dollars would have been wasted—the press release the Republicans put out to congratulate Miller misspelled "congratulations." Oh well. What else is frightening is that the mayor of Anchorage actually endorsed Miller. The befuddlement is overwhelming and there certainly is enough stupidity, bigotry, and ignorance in the tea party and their negative campaigning to make every thinking Alaskan, Republican, Democrat, and Independent run screaming to the polls on Election Day and say enough of this nonsense. It is embarrassing for Alaskans. Hopefully Scott McAdams, the mayor of Sitka, can lead us through this mess. He shows a willingness to reach out and do what is right for Alaska—all of Alaska. —N.L.M—

[Poster commentary nitpicks on grammar choices that aren't always correct and a matter of preference. One correction that is true is crossing out a typo of "every" for "ever".]

Seriously? Ted Stevens gets taken down by the FBR then dies on the side of a mountain, and you can't get over the fact that Murkowski got "side-swiped" by Joe Miller? What you really trying to say?
