Subject: 5K/10K run for support and service
(Fri-8-10-2018). Just received approval from Warden to conduct the first GrahamVet sponsored charity run/walk event! Every year GrahamVets collects donations for the local area food pantry (Hillsboro, IL. - Salvation Army - IGA). It is an opportunity for our vets to give back to the community. To learn the value of giving and support. This year we step up our game by bringing the opportunity to donate through a 5K & 10K run/walk event to other inmates in the prison besides the veterans group.

The GrahamVets 5K/10K will be on Sept. 11th in honor of 9/11 memorials.

The LTA Department is holding their annual 5K/10K in October to raise money for the Elizabeth Ann Seton Foundation (supports at risk women and children).

I will be running and donating to both efforts. My pay as a Chapel worker is 30 dollars per month. I will donate 10 dollars to each fund raiser event.
