READER'S SURVEY

One of the most devastating aspects of imprisonment is the lack of "reality checks," criticism by other people deflates our delusions. A horrible personal flaw, which is life threatening, is an inability or unwillingness to accept criticism. So, BRING IT!
I want to make both this blog & myself into the best we can be. Do you dislike anything about this blog?
Did you ever have dealings with me & feel I shafted you?
Please let me know, although I ask you to do so by snail mail if it's something that could cause shame or ridicule for anyone.
You will help me improve my blog by answering these questions:

1. What would you most like to see discussed on this blog?
(e.g. Poetry, essays, art, fiction - observations or subjective?)
2. On a scale of one to ten, what would you rank this blog & why? As compared to the other blogs on this site?
3. How do you feel the tone or content in this blog could be improved?
4. What would you like me to write about?
5. Do you prefer realism or surrealism?
Please don't limit your criticism to that suggested by my questions.

P.S. By now you see that I ponder a wide variety of topics. More variety is coming. Alas, I really need your criticism &... opposition to refine my thoughts.

Hi again Nate,

For me personally, I think it is interesting to get a real life view of the inside, so observations are interesting. Also, we have different lives, other than the obvious, as I'm from the UK, so I always find it cool to hear from America anyway as you get a different spin on things.

I think to get more readers in, at least it works for me, make your blog stand out! You did some cool drawings on some of your posts which is what made me read them in the first place, as obviously there are a lot of blogs on here. You need something that grabs people and makes them want to read more of them. The content is cool, but the drawings tend to separate them from others and draw you in in the first place. Plus it is something you can hopefully enjoy doing, as I enjoy seeing them :)

The questions to make people think are also cool, as it gets people to respond. This allows us to see what others think, and for you to get something nice to read. Win win!

As for being offensive etc, I haven't read enough of your blogs yet (at least for my liking), but from what I've seen you haven't been at all, and the fact that you ask the question shows that you are a thoughtful and kind person who doesn't wish to upset people. *Thumbs up* I'm sure anyone who reads your blogs will know that too.

Real vs surreal... bit of both in the right context. Just write about what's on your mind/ interests you and I'm sure anyone who is/ is going to follow your blog will be interested and will reply. Make the blog as much about you as about the readers and I think it will be an enriching experience from both sides.

Looking forward to reading more of your stuff.

Best wishes,
The Little Brit
