Can We Change Ourselves?
What Makes Us Happy?

I have seen so many people—believers and non-believers—who try to change themselves, addicts of all kinds. People who are scared, angry, cold-hearted, codependent, etc. fail, and it's heartbreaking. I've seen honestly good people do horrible things, brave people run, loving people become hateful. We can cover up our bad habits, never act on our desires and literally brainwash ourselves or train ourselves to live like these things aren't part of us. However, it's all still there in us waiting for a stressful moment or a time when we are a little mentally or spiritually weaker to come surging up to the surface. Then there we are, standing defeated and discouraged.

There are those who will tell us that if we study the Bible every day we can change and even be holy. This is not true. We can memorize the Bible Word and not be holy. Don't get me wrong, if we live our lives the way the Bible tells us to, we will be good people but not holy. A good person can do good things all their lives, and it doesn't make them holy. So how do we truly change? How can we, who the enemy has twisted, become truly holy?

Only Father God can change us. Only his holy spirit living in us can make us holy.

If we will just open our hearts to the Father's true love and allow him to share our lives with us by living in our hearts, could we ever be holy? The Father loves us and wants us to share a loving, day by day, eternity with us. Do not let anyone ever tell you Father God doesn't love or that anything you have done, or will do, could ever make you unworthy of his love. That is a lie, and I can prove it.

You were conceived, you designed by him before he laid the foundations of the universe. He has burned your name on his heart and he thinks about you continuously. Give him a chance and I promise you he will never let you down. He can't because he's God and he loves you too much. :)
