Hello, World.
About two weeks ago, our veteran group had a first. In the 12 years and four attempts I have made to obtain support for the VA C&P medical evaluation, it was never allowed. A member of GrahamVets, a soldier, 10th Mtn. Div Afghan combat vet was finally permitted a security escort to complete his C&P evaluation. That may not seem like much to you. To us, it is a miracle!
The VA requires a vet complete a C&P evaluation as a "first step" in being able to obtain any medical help from the VA. It consists of three medical evaluations and an interview by VA doctors.
Hopefully, this support from the prison administration will set a precedent for veterans earned rights, and others will follow.
