Holiday Season

Dear Reader,
Hey! I hope you're doing well!

As this year's holiday seasons comes to its climax with Christmas and the dropping of the ball on New Year's, and such, I think back on what few I had in my life.

My brother and I would have searched the house and our mother's car the week of, and every year we'd find her stash of presents and the block handwriting that "Santa" used to write our names on them. We pay attention to weight and size. And we learned how to peel the scotch tape off very cleanly so no one could tell it was opened. But now that I think about it, I think she did know. Because eventually she would wait until the night on Christmas Eve to wrap gifts.

We lived in Peace Haven Mobile Home Park at that time. My bro and I would then crawl down the hallway and peep around the corner, and see what they were wrapping. My sister helped her. We all knew the truth but went with it anyway.

How I miss those days of innocent holiday mischief. :) Well, minus the butt whooping! Ha! Ha!

I wish you and everyone who reads my blog a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I wish the best to everyone and their respective holidays! And if you have noneā€”the best still!

Until next time!

Yours truly,
Doug
