Subject: I am a Republican!

And I have never been more ashamed of that than today.

I am not a constitutional scholar, but I regularly read the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. At least twice a year. Especially on July 4th and November 10th (Marine Corps birthday) to remind myself of what it is that I fight for and where my allegiance is focused.

As I listen to the impeachment hearings I am impressed and reminded of the incredible vision our founding fathers had to form a government based on the people who elect the powers to govern themselves. I admire the strong debates and those, both Democratic and Republican, that speak with truth, conviction, and heart to bear witness and produce facts that protect this nation and our future.

I am deeply ashamed of the Republican congressmen I am hearing with my own ears. I am seeing with my own eyes that many are sniveling cowards. They are whining like little children. "This isn't fair." They are appealing to cameras, thinking the American people are so stupid to be swayed by drama and wishy-washy arguments.

THEY ARE AFRAID.

I see and sense the fear in their stuttering. What are they afraid of? If they stand for truth and honor, then who cares if they should even be imprisoned or die in the end? This is what our founding fathers did! That is what my thousands of brothers died on foreign soil do! How dare you stand in lock step because you are afraid!

It really scares me to wonder what they are afraid of. Is it President Trump they fear? They act as if they know they will be crushed by their fellow party members.

I have heard the many underlying and subtle threats being made about imprisoning and otherwise using the law to seek revenge on those who are speaking out.

I am a Republican, and I say God bless you to everyone with the courage to speak the truth. Do not be afraid of evil. I am so proud of courageous American patriots I see standing up for me and against tyranny!
