Don't act surprised, America. I am amazed that we have delayed what is now happening for as long as we have. Since 9/11, in fact.

I will say this: our screw up with Syria ensured these events unfolded. Once Russia stepped into Syria, that sealed the certainty that things in the Middle East would begin to unravel for the US. Hundreds of thousands of really good people died to take back their own country from a tyrant regime. That is now over. When did Iraqis ever demonstrate in the streets when our soldiers gave their lives to defend some little village from being decimated by Daesh? Fuck 'em all!

Russia is terrified of us. They got their asses handed to them in Afghanistan. Entire companies overrun and wiped out. Every attempt to overrun a US post, even when it was 40 soldiers fighting 500 assault troops, we always prevailed. Half of 'em Iraqis who we were training and supposed to be helping regain their own country, their own freedoms. But because we fight for each other and for freedom's ideal, we prevail time and time again.

Iran? Fuck 'em!

This fight was a long time coming. I am just sad that another generation of Americans must suffer because politicians failed again.

Iran and Russia have been fighting WWIII with the US since 1984. This is simply the next phase. Sadly, we should never have allowed them to consolidate for so long. Politicians show fear. Americans believe in "right" and "justice" and our Constitution. As a military vet with over two years in combat zones, and now experiencing the horrible injustice and corruption of our own prison system, I am sad.
