Let me ask a question. If the public wishes to be free of people committing crimes, then why don't the public support an ex-convict getting a job to support himself and his loved ones?

If the public wants to be really effective when it comes to crime and punishment, then it has to start to really take the necessary steps to have a more check and balance accountability kind of penal system that focuses on stopping repeat offenders.
