Poisoned Prison Water
We just found out TODAY, Monday 2/3/20, that last Thursday 1/30/19 at 11:35 AM a "Boil Water Advisory for the SCDC Complex on Broad River Road" was issued!
And we the prisoners of the facility were not told!
All weekend people were drinking and showering in contaminated water. Now, whole buildings of prisoners are being medically quarantined because people have fevers, have thrown up, gotten diarrhea, headaches, dizziness, and a few other symptoms. Some are trying to say its flu, but that's too convenient of an answer. The truth is, that the entire prison population was negligently poisoned for nearly five full days.
Attorneys have already been contacted for the ensuing lawsuit that will undoubtedly come for the failure of the prison to communicate the boil water advisory, and to provide potable water to the prisoners. Those effected worse -- it appears -- are those with HIV/AIDS, cancer, the elderly, and malnourished.
All weekend guys were feeling ill and wondering why.
Now we know.
The water had been contaminated.
To confirm this you can contact Lexington/Richland Environmental Services at 803-896-0620, the warning included:
"Water customers should continue to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by Columbia Water laboratory staff. Also, any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes."
Wouldn't been nice to know that, last week!
