Subject: TRUST

Someone asked me today, "what is the one take away from this prison experience?"

"TRUST"

In nearly 14-years of hardships and loss I can truly say that God has provided in everything,
every step of the way. I say "God" because so many things happened that could only have been
orchestrated by Divine intervention.

I have always wondered how anyone could endure prison, maintaining dignity and not resort to
evil and violence without "God's" love and protection. For the naysayers...I have been Christian
(Born Again, Saved, "Free") for over 25 years, long before my prison experience.

I have not always trusted, but worried.

Yet, in the end, through prayer and often fasting everything has worked out. The final
preparations for parole didn't come together ( in bits and pieces) until the last 12-months.
Before this it was difficult to "trust" that it would be possible to succeed so a lot of energy was
spent trying to come up with plans and solutions. Yet in the end, everything started to fall into
place. In many cases it was a person who I encountered years before incarceration, who
stepped back into the picture to help out.

So, if you need a focus... "TRUST" in God Almighty...
