Dear Reader,
Hey. I hope you're doing well today!
I, myself, am sick. I first got sick around the beginning of January. On two separate nights, after eating just some beans and cabbage, my throat had that itch in the back of it. Yup, that itch that tells you you're about to be sick. So, it came, the body aches, and sore throat, and rough cough, etc. It lasted for about two weeks. It wasn't a cold, but I don't think it was the flu either. It felt like the flu, but doesn't the flu only last a few days?
So, it goes away except for a little left behind in my chest. No coughing or other symptoms. Just every morning, I'd hock up a bright green phlegm and the rest of day it'd be white.
About two and a half weeks ago (four weeks after I initially became sick), some aches started to come. So, I filed another sick call ($5 co-payment each time. I'll get into that at a later time), and the nurse told me she's putting me on the list to see the doctor.
Two and a half weeks later, no doctor.
So... now it's hitting me hard again. I filed another sick call. Just so I can get some non-aspirin (acetaminophone or Tylenol) and chlodphen. But hopefully they'll see I need an antibiotic to aid my immune system to fight it off this time.
I had these same symptoms back in 2016, and medical refused to treat it. Fortunately, I had a court appearance to make three and a half weeks after getting sick and I was treated in my county jail. The doctors were a bit surprised and irritated I hadn't been treated by my previous medical services. The doctor there put me on Tylenol, amoxiciilan, guafenisin and something else to dry up the fluid or infeciton in my lungs.
I'm going to take a record of that treatment with me to my sick call visit this week and ask them to follow in the footsteps of how I was treated in 2016. I hope they will. Because whatever this virus is, I'm having a cardiac reaction to it. My heart rhythm has been messing up more than usual.
I'll keep you posted on how treatment goes.
Until next time.
Yours truly,
Doug
