Subject: Finally a good Afghan policy...
Most students of military know that it's ridiculous proposition to believe the Taliban went peace... They just want us out, so they can regroup amd take over again.
But our pulling US troops out of Afghanistan is important.
Today, I give credit to President Trump for enacting a "good policy" for us in Afghanistan.
Since 2003 I have said this over and over, but I am only a simple Sergeant of Marines. Many students of Military history know that the Romans and Alexander the Great used the best policy. Pull out of occupation, permit the people to run teir own country. The key is simple to back up your word...
If you build an Army to oppose us, we will return, NOT as a small police force of 5000 troops. We will return with 100,000 troop and decimate every city and popultaion involved with harboring a terrorist group. Then we will leave again. Not 20 years later, just 12 months. You as a nation can either succeed together or destroy each other in civil war. But as soon as you raise a terrorist group to attack the U.S., we'll be back in force.
It's simple, it's quick, it's effective and in the long run much more cost effective with better results overall.
Now, let's pull our guys (and gals) out and then back up our words with action. So far, this is the right way to go.
Finally, some politician is listening to those that understand warfare... The real war fights. It's about time!
