Dear Friend of Jamie,
I just received your reply, and to be perfectly honest, I don't have the faintest clue as to how to respond. You're clearly aware that, not only am I in prison for a crime I never committed, but that I'm in prison for a crime that never happened. It's also just as clear that you came by this information, not from second or third-hand sources, but directly from the horse's mouth, so tell me something, do you really think it's right to allow this charade to continue? All because Jamie's afraid of going to jail and being away from her family?
Before you answer, you should probably know that the statute of limitations for her perjury expired long ago which means that, so long as she doesn't repeat her previous statements under oath, they couldn't prosecute her, even if they wanted to, for what she did almost 20-years ago. In other words, she has absolutely nothing to fear from the law should she decide at some point to come forward with the truth. So, I repeat my earlier question of whether or not you think it's right for her to continue this charade.
As far as my time drawing to a close, you're right, I've only got a few months left on a 21-year prison sentence, but why should this matter? One day, 5-months, 21-years, when you're in prison for a crime you didn't commit, for a crime that never happened at the end of the day, it's ALL too much which is why she should have come forward with the truth long ago.
I sympathise with the predicament Jamie now finds herself in, but don't you think it's high time to put things right? To come forward with the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? I certainly do, but then no one cares about what I have to say.

Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post.
I really don't know anything about your situation other than what I've read in your post, but I wanted to say that people (myself included) do care about what you have to say. That's why I wanted to transcribe your letter, and send you a reply, because you and your situation matters to me. I'm sorry that you're going through this.
All the best,
Mimi
