Hey there! I was very confused about this post at first, but I'm guessing that the "blank" in my reply was a word that didn't come through on the transcription? Perhaps?
The missing word is "PENPAL."
Rita and I have been writing each other for many years now. She hasn't posted any comments recently, but if you look at my older posts from years ago, she was usually the only person who posted comments.
I admire Rita a lot. I supposed it would be rude to state her age, but in the U.S. she would be considered a senior citizen. Yet, she is one of the most active and thoughtful people I've ever known.
Rita writes several prisoners, she paints (and exhibits!), she's always taking classes (like other foreign languages or dance, etc.), she's very active (Swimming, hiking, dance), and she volunteers for various groups in her country.
Rita is an amazing person and I hope I am lucky enough to meet her in person someday.
