RE: Announcement of a Political Candidate
Running for Political Office from
Inside the Prison System.

Dt: July 28, 2021

To whom it may concern;

I am hoping that some members of the media allow me the opportunity to address important issues of concern that prompted me to run for office.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, porcentage wise, considering its total population has the largest criminal Justice System in the country - 42 Federal Judges, 434 State Judges for life, 247 Assistant General and 797 Asst. District Attorney in 13 counties that can only elect one District Attorney per county.

Another important issue deals with the Judicial Branch of Government overpowering the other two Branches of Government for decades.

My candidancy is pushing for Inmates Voting Rights being restored so that we all have access to equality and hope for Justice for all.

One Love For The Struggle,

Luis D. Perez

RE: Organization of Candidate Campaign Account

Dear Mr. Perez:

We have received the statement of organization for your candidacy on 7/14/2021. During the organizational process for your candidacy you selected the option: "I do not intend to accept contributions, make expenditures, including expenditures of my own funds, or incur liabilities for any campaign related purpose." Should you decide to raise or spend money, please contact out office before doing so for further guidance.

Now that you've made the decision to organize, it's important to accurately disclose your campaign finance activity. All candidates electronically file their reports with OCPF's electronic filing system. You have been assigned the following identification number and password for e-filing:

CPF ID: [redacted] PASSWORD: [redacted]

Candidates use Reporter 7, OCPF's online reporting application, to electronically file reports. E-filing instructions are attached.

OOPF will notify your bank with an anticipated start date for their reports in addition to e-filing instructions. Please note that your committee will receive a courtesy email from OCPF on each occasion your financial institution files a report on behalf of your committee. It's suggested to review the report when the bank files each month.

OCPF has transitioned to a paperless environment. Moving forward, we intend to communicate with candidates by email only. Please take a moment to ensure that the email address listed below is accurate. If the email address is not accurate, please email us at ocpf@cpf.state.ma.us with the correct email account.

Candidate: NONE

Our office holds virtual one-hour seminars each Wednesday at 2 p.m. to explain the campaign finance law and hot to e-file campaign finance reports. To attend the seminar, contact Jason Tait at jtait@cpf.state.ma.us to request the video conference login information.

Please feel free to contact your auditor, Michael Joyce (mjoyce@cpf.state.ma.us), if you have any questions or need assistance with any campaign finance issue.

Sincerely,

Shane Slater
Audit Director
